Thanks for downloading my map! To get started just drop the "Lost Embers" folder directly into your minecraft saves folder, and you're good to go! Make sure that you're playing on Minecraft version 1.19.3! For multiplayer, have your server admin set up the map on a completely Vanila Minecraft 1.19.3 server, and make sure to distribute the resource pack ("resources.zip" in the world folder) to all players and have them manually turn it on for this map. Things won't make sense without it!

If possible, I ask that you set Minecraft's language to English (US), since some default Minecraft text is changed for this map, but only for the English language file.

Have fun and good luck! :)

 Resource Pack & Datapack Testing
==================================

Near the spawn point of the map, you'll find a wall with some map info on it. The leftmost section contains some tests to make sure the map is set up correctly.
1. Hit the button on the wall. If you see a message pop up in the chat, that means your datapack is working.
2. Check the block embedded into the wall above the button. If it's a smiley face, that means the resource pack is working. If it's just a flat pink block, that means the resource pack is broken.

  Resource Pack Troubleshooting
==================================

1. Are you playing on a multiplayer server? If so, the resource pack will not be distibuted to each player by default. To fix this, each player needs to download a copy of the map, unpack the file, and move the "resources.zip" file to their resource pack folder. They will then need to open the resource pack settings in Minecraft and move "Lost Embers Resource Pack" to the right half of the screen, and as high up in the list as possible.

2. Minecraft sometimes automatically disbles resource packs if they're built for a different version of the game, so make sure you're playing on the right version of Minecraft (1.19.3). Keep in mind that playing this map on an older OR newer version of the game is very likely to break the map!

3. If you're playing singleplayer, verify that the "resources.zip" file is in the world folder. If it's there but still won't turn work in-game, try moving the "resources.zip" file directly into your resource packs folder and enable it manually via the resource packs menu.

     Datapack Troubleshooting
==================================

1. Are you playing on a multiplayer server? If so, there's a good chance command blocks are not enabled. Have the server admin open the "server.properties" file and set the "enable-command-block" parameter to "true".

2. Are you playing on the right version of the game? This map is meant for Minecraft 1.19.3, and playing on an older OR newer version of the game is very likely to break the map!
